Macey Dowd

Macey Dowd is currently a junior at Vassar College. Originally from Northern California, Macey is majoring in Sociology and Spanish and interested in pursuing a career in public health, with a particular focus on womens’ health issues and access to healthcare. Originally from Northern California, Macey is majoring in Sociology and Spanish and interested in pursuing a career in public health, with a particular focus on womens’ health issues and access to healthcare. In addition to her work with The Art and Science of Medicine, Macey interned in a maternity ward at a public hospital in Cusco, Peru, helping the medical staff with both live births and C-sections. Her recent white paper “A Holistic Approach to Prenatal Care” can be found here.

Macey is an award-winning member of the highly ranked Vassar Womens’ Tennis team, where she was named to the 2020-2021 All-Liberty League Second Team, Singles and Doubles; was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week and the Doubles Team of the week multiple times during her first season; and was awarded Vassar Rookie of the Year in 2022.
